Light Materials Are Not Yet Popular

July 23, 20220

When it comes to light materials, you tend to think of light materials as being less durable and prone to falling, but the truth is that they have many difficult-to-replace applications in construction. Furthermore, they reduce construction costs and protect the environment by emitting very few emissions both during production and construction. There are many companies on the market today that produce products made from lightweight materials, and Q-Furniture also offers lightweight concrete products. While this is an outstanding product, it is not widely used in Vietnam.

Lightweight materials are not yet widely used.

In order to achieve the best results, the construction industry in Vietnam has begun to adopt a trend of using ultra-light construction materials to minimize negative environmental impacts, in line with the “green” living trend of consumers. Connecting people, directing healthy living activities, and being close to nature. This opens the door for environmentally friendly, energy-saving materials.

Light materials are materials that are produced and recycled using modern technology for use in the construction industry, bringing outstanding economic efficiencies such as cost reduction, quick construction, and environmental protection. Furthermore, lightweight materials use less energy throughout their life cycle, resulting in long-term value for buildings. However, the use of ultralight materials remains uncommon in Vietnam.

Typically, new lightweight bricks account for about 8–9% of the total unburnt building materials, while the set target is well over 20%. It is worth noting that this is the second most important indicator in the Prime Minister’s approved program to develop unburnt building materials until 2020.

The Outstanding Advantages of Lightweight Materials

Lightweight construction materials include structural wall materials; insulation; roofing; windows, doors, facades; drywall; ceilings, floors; cement; and stone products. These materials typically have lower energy ratings than traditional materials. As a result, less energy will be used over the lifetime of the ultralight material.

They can also respond faster to temperature changes, allowing them to cool quickly in hot climates. Furthermore, light materials are less expensive to manufacture and transport, and they take up less space when stored on-site.

The outstanding advantages of lightweight materials

There is always a toxic gas in the house called formaldehyde, which generates activities in people’s daily lives like cooking and operating machinery. If you want to reduce the amount of this gas, use lightweight materials for ceilings, partitions, and furniture. You will thus ensure the health of the entire family.

Besides, instead of using heavy and dense walls in today’s modern interior designs, many people prefer partitions to divide areas with light interior materials to create an open space that saves space and connectivity.

Light Materials are Widely Used in Interior Construction

Light materials in construction are gradually becoming a trend, becoming a commonly used building material in many construction projects, particularly furniture.

Because the variety of lightweight materials increases design flexibility, it is widely used and suitable for finishing works such as decorative wall cladding, patio flooring, balconies, gardens, etc., walkways, fences, columns, etc. The raw materials for lightweight materials are cement, sand, gypsum, fiberglass, foaming agents, etc. Manufacturers have imitated their shapes, colors, and so on to create a series of products that look like the real thing, such as: brick and porous concrete stone, vinyl tile, stone pressed on aluminum, glass, ceramic, etc.

The color of lightweight materials is also more diverse, thanks to the ability to mix and match colors to create tones that match customer preferences. Furthermore, we can freely shape it with convex and concave surfaces, or process it by hand to create unusual and different features, or chisel to create embossed patterns.

Light materials are widely used in interior construction

In the Vietnamese market, there are now many companies manufacturing and importing ultra-light materials, particularly products made of precast lightweight concrete, the most prominent of which is Q-Furniture Company, with models as diverse as Concrete Table And Benches, Concrete Stool, Round Concrete Planters, Curved Concrete Bench, Candle Holders,…

Restrictions for Entering The Vietnamese Market

Lightweight materials are now widely used in many countries around the world, from interior and exterior construction to office decoration; corporate lobby; large project lobby; villas; resorts; and resorts; parks; railroad stations; airports; hotels; karaoke rooms; etc. However, the use of ultralight materials in Vietnam remains limited.

According to experts, new materials have a difficult time entering the current building materials market for a variety of reasons, the first of which is a fear of change and the loss of benefits from the production of old materials.

Furthermore, the current legal system for new materials is incomplete, causing numerous issues in the application process. In fact, these issues are sometimes not rooted in the business itself but cause it to fail.
